Experience:

Mid Michigan College - Administrative Specialist to the Academic Deans                 04/2022 - Present

I provide administrative support for a high volume, multiple program office. I admit a new cohort of Nursing students every Fall and Winter semester by verifying grades via transcripts, gathering entrance testing scores, calculating selective admissions scores, and sending acceptance letters. To go along with admittance, I make sure students are compliant with their requirements, plan student Welcome Day’s and Orientations, and generally make sure the students have all of the information they need to be successful. In addition, I answer Help Desk tickets, faculty and student questions, build the yearly school schedule, and help the department run smoothly.

Great Lakes Eye Institute - Receptionist and Surgery Coordinator                               01/2018 - 04/2022

I provided administrative support for a high volume, multiple doctor practice. I scheduled patients, greeted incoming visitors, and answered phone calls. While checking in patients, I verified their insurances with their carriers to make sure they were active, and the patient information was correct. In addition, I checked-out patients. I collected payments as well as entered charges to be billed.

Some Skills

Through my job at Mid I have been compiling the Nursing Composite Photo that is created at the end of each semester. This photo consists of all of the graduating Nursing Students as well as the Nursing Faculty.

While at Central Michigan University, I helped develop and film most of the short films CMU Film Society created for the 48 Hour Film Competition between 2013 and 2016. My direct responsibilities were usually running audio, planning shot locations, gathering props, and editing the videos.

In addition, for CMU's Film Society I was the Volunteer Coordinator for the Central Michigan International Film Festival. With this job I was in charge of hiring volunteers, planning their shifts, making sure everyone arrived early and knew what their specific tasks were, and I made sure the event ran smoothly throughout the two weekends the festival ran. I was also head of promotions my first year at Central Michigan University. I made sure fliers were hung everywhere, made sure tickets were handed out, and I generally just helped get the word out about the festival.

Another task I have experienced was being the Promotions E-Board member of Film Society my second year at CMU, and Secretary E-Board member of Film Society my final year at CMU.

I gained valuable experience in film editing and production throughout my three years in CMU’s Film Society as both an E-Board member and as just a regular member. We constantly were working on films and were always learning and developing our skills as filmmakers, while also creating a fun environment to learn in.
