Inside Alex Carter

I am a graduate from Central Michigan University with a Bachelors in Applied Arts! I am a Broadcast and Cinematic Arts major and a Media Design and Production minor, with my passion being film and video editing. I also really enjoy audio recording and editing as well. What I hope I gain once I receive my diploma is a job as a video editor, preferably in the film industry or working for a film company. My greatest strength is also my biggest weakness, and that would be perfection. I'm a major perfectionist when it comes to my work; I notice the little things most people do not and it bothers me when I see errors. I strive to put out the greatest work possible at all times.
I have spent the past three and a half years immersed in Film Society, a student organization on campus, producing short films and gaining as much knowledge as possible. I also was the volunteer coordinator for the Central Michigan International Film Festival!
I have always loved watching movies but what truly began my journey into film and video was recording my sister doing silly things. Eventually I realized editing those videos gave me greater joy than anything else I was doing. Thus began my journey into the BCA program at Central!
